Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann; a man whose sole mission is to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up one’s life. The video was recorded in Sydney.

The music for the video is composed by Sick Puppies, an Australian band that Mann met. The lead singer of the band, Moore, who worked at the mall, shot the footage and later compiled into a video for the song.

In finding out that Mann’s grandmother had just passed away, he compiled his Free Hugs video footage into a get-well, spirit lifting offering. He combined the footage with his band’s song “All the Same” and sent the video to Mann just to make him feel better, much like Mann’s intention with his Free Hugs campaign.

As this symbol of human hope spread across the city, police and officials tried to bann the Free Hugs campaign because Mann had not obtained public liability insurance (worth $25 million) for his actions.

Mann and his companions used a petition to attempt to convince authorities that his campaign should be allowed to continue without the insurance. His petition reached 10,000 signatures and the rest is history…

This true spirit of humanity’s campaign was so awe inspiring that it spreaded globally.

Herein, I send my virtual ‘HUGS’ to yOu!

Give me a rose for a brighter smile ^_^
