Netfirms is one of the online services that charges one a minimum fee for buying domain names. It is highly recommended by Alvin Phang because it offers one of the cheapest charges US$4.95 for a domain name.

To add on to Alvin’s endorsement, I have personally had some good experiences with Netfirms. One of which is the Live Chat service as shown in my earlier blog.

After much efforts and time spent, bought another domain www.My-Collectible-Gift.com. The process of going through keywords research was quite an agony for this. Keywords like handmade, handicraft, craft, hobby and even collections are too competitive.

I was really cracking my head to try to find a high demand, low competition and at d same time, an appropriate keyword that can describe the content of my ideal blog. Pesistency counts. Managed to finalize on collectible gift which has a good demand but most importantly, low competition.

For the past few days, felt that I am stuck and kept going back to the same topic to re-learn what was taught. Finally, today, I am ready to embark on the next topic - building my blog through a web-server wordpress.

Was very impressed with nowadays technology. Encountered some challenges when buying additional domains from Netfirms. They have a LIVE Chat service where u can instantly chat with one of their staffs for whatever queries u need to clarify.

In the past, would have to wait for 1 to 2 days before an email is replied. Now, i can have an instant reply to clarify my queries. If I have to be exact, the waiting time for response is probably about 1 minute. COOL!

Tried surfing Big-Boards which is one of largest virtual mesage board. Basically, what this virtual site do is to track the most active message boards and forums on the web.

Took me about 3 days of re-surfing and re-visiting Alvin’s notes before I can comprehend the good usage of Forum. I think today, I have found the right forum to promote my necklace business, under Hippy section.

One of the ways to build rapport and generate traffic to one’s website is to engage actively into Forum.

Forum, simplified to my understanding means a virtual place where people come together and post / answer questions to any topics.

In the case of Yahoo Answers, there is a broad category ranging from leisure to business. Since I have bought the domain of jewelryretaileronline.com and I like to market all d necklaces offered by Mary, I went through d questions that people generally r interested in.

One of d ‘tricks’ to build rapport in Forum is to poise as a consultant and give advice to whoever posted the questions. Of course, in order to be a consultant, one would have to specialize in one specific category eg. health.

In my case, I tried beauty and style category but was disappointed by d type of questions people generally post. Saw the trend of tattoo and feel a bit loss as to how to post a question regarding necklace.

Nevertheless, I browsed through parenting and pregnancy category and am pleased that my pending second online business is viable. Unlike health, which I did see a virtual ‘guru’ who is so outstanding that ‘he’ answered most of d question posted and even offer quality solutions. Was even ranked by Yahoo as the top solution provider.

Hmm… maybe my chance in parenting category.

I have learnt that in order to be successful in internet marketing, one must learn the skill of driving traffic ie. people will surf to your site.

In order to kick start online business, the very first and baby step is to check out the demand of the keywords usually keyed in by people who use search engine to search for the things that they want.

During The Books Warehouse Sale, I picked up the abovementiond author’s book “How to make your Million from the Internet. And what to do if you don’t”.

The title itself is catchy and at this present moment, anything that has something to do with Internet will capture my interest.

Am inspired by Jonathan’s idea and thought probably I could start my own blog of my daily learning process in Internet Marketing too.

In a nutshell, this book is basically a diary of a share trader who was formerly a TV broadcaster but mortgaged his house in d attempt to use the mortgaged amount to turn it into $1,000,000 within d next 12mths through internet.

8 days have passed since d completion of my 2 days workshop with Alvin Phang. Not only have I gained a lot of knowledge from the workshop but also I am more confident to get started.

Alvin has really simplified the whole process that a strong foundation is set so that I have a direction to gear forward.

He is really one who is willing to share wholeheartedly of what exactly he knows. But what I like best about the workshop is the small class size which allows me to follow through step by step. I was even given a copy of CD which features all the in-class lesson such that I can always refer to should I need to refresh.

On 4/4/07 (Wed), I went to The Books Warehouse Sale and started buying more books related to Internet Marketing instead of self-development books which I used to be fanatic over. Hmm.. one of the early signs of my preparations.

The same day, Jasmond got himself a 1GB thumb drive with security feature since Alvin mentioned d need to safe keep all email addresses and passwords.

Attended Steven Pierce 2hrs workshop on 5/4/07 (Thurs). Deep in my heart, I knew that Alvin Phang has helped to set such a good foundation that I am able to comprehend Steven’s golden tips.

On 5/4/07 (Fri), bought a 3 users license for Norton Anti-Virus as both Jasmond and myself agreed that SECURITY is of prior importance to our online business.

That same day, we met up with Mary and all three of us are excited to venture into this channel to rebuild our business together. Mary and I decided to use her balance stock of necklaces (handmade in Philippines) to kick start.

On 6/4/07 (Sat), after much research, I was happy to own d domain name jewelryretaileronline.com

Heeding the advice of Alvin, committed into a Acer laptop on 7/4/07 (Sun). Alvin has mentioned that a laptop is needed for after course support.

That same night, Mary is so excited over her 3 billion business by 2010 that she gave me a full list of keywords to search for so that she can reserve the domain first.

As usual most domains have been snapped up but we manage to secure a good one under antiaginghub.com

After a week of ’sacrifices’ from my sleep (slept only after midnight), I finally fall flat on 8/4/07 (Mon). Slept from 4pm onwards till the next morning. This is the only day that i did nothing for my online business till date.

My first encounter of Steven Pierce was a preview organized by Success Resources, which was held at Sheraton Towers Hotel on 14/3/07.

Didn’t have a good impression of him in terms of signing up for his 4 days workshop because he speaks too fast. And I was concerned that being an E imbecile, I might not be able to follow through his teachings (which equates close to S$2000 being flushed down d drain).

In any case, I attended his another 2hrs workshop on 5/4/07 which is exclusive for members (Somehow, somebody signed me up on my behalf).

A tribute to my crashed course with Alvin Phang, this time round; my experience with Steven Peirce change. He still talk fast but make a lot more sense.

There was a point in his life that he was so down, broke and homeless that he started to go online as a means to escape from his reality. He started posting some of his personal observation reports of trading onto Forum and received compliments. Because of virtual supporter’s request, Steven learnt to create website and post his trading reports.

But d turning point was when someone requested him to email d data. By then, Steven had ‘accidentally’ collected a pool of dbase who were interested in his reports. When he blasted emails, one fellow asked if he could pay him for more data. As a result, US$5K was transacted. That inspired Steven to dig deeper into d possibilities and grow to what he is today - a billionaire and guru in online massive traffic generator.

Two important pointers shared to generate traffic within the next 24hrs:
1. Find some forum immediately
- engage in active communications of things that r related to what i m doing

2. Find others’ blogs
- eg. find any top selling book at amazon and be part of d conversation.

Most importantly, post comments tatz either KISS butt or KICK butt to stir up conversation. No neutral and in between.

Recently there is so much buzz over Internet Marketing. The phenomenon is so alike with network marketing when it is initially permitted and introduced in Singapore.

In fact, I stumbled across this concept since 3-4 years back. Was very excited and keen to explore further but somehow didn’t manage to kick start despite signing up with a 2 yrs online package with Ken Evoy (one of the well-reputated gurus in InternetMarketing).

It is not until this year mid March, where I attended Stephen Pierce’s preview on his promotion for his 4 days workshop. He was practically rushing through his speech that after 3 hours of preview, I was frustrated and decided that there must be someone better and more suitable for me. Moreover, he has a class size of about 100 students. I still prefer a smaller class.

Coincidentally, I received an email endorsing Alvin Phang who self-proclaimed that he is the World’s No. 1 blogger. Was skeptical as he is too ‘new’ (at least to me). But as I read his profile in his blog (despite of his grammatical errors), a part of me was touched by his genuiness.

The power of blog to connect.
